WHAT CAN CLIENTS EXPECT TO TAKE AWAT FROM A SESSION A THE NEST FOR HEALING?
Together, we will develop goals and strategies that will lead to your definition of healthy. We will periodically check in to see how you think you're doing. We will celebrate successes and make adjustments where necessary.
WHAT TREATMENT METHODS AND TOOLS DO YOU UTILIZE?
My primary treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because sometimes the negative thoughts are the loudest and CBT seeks to address that type of thinking. I also use a strength based approach. That doesn't mean we will dismiss the challenges you are facing. It means that we will address those challenges by identifying your own strengths, tapping into or building your support system and creating opportunities for success.
WHAT ARE THE AREAS YOU SPECIALIZE IN AS A COUNSELOR?
My biggest strengths include my ability to use a multicultural approach, I am an empathic listener, I am direct and compassionate and I am a continuous learner. I do not take a 'one size fits all approach'. We are all different and our diversity has to be acknowledged during treatment. I specialize in treating trauma. Whether its childhood trauma or a recent occurrence, it still has an impact on your life. I'm here to support you with your recovery.
